Overview

Accounting Consultant – Contract Duration: 12 months
• Pay: €190-247/day
• Location: Letterkenny (hybrid working)

Responsibilities
  • Create, document, review and approve journal entries (e.g., journal upload, general ledger queries)
  • Prepare, review and approve account reconciliations
  • Demonstrate understanding of intercompany relationships and organizational structures (e.g., segments, legal entities) required to record intersegment transactions and cost allocations
  • Perform financial variance analysis and explanation (period-over-period actuals, variance to forecast) for Income statement and selected Balance sheet accounts.
  • Define, develop and improve business and accounting processes, leveraging latest technology to automate and digitalize processes.
  • Manage, create and submit internal month end analyses and reporting to consolidation and management team.
  • Supports/maintains the underlying GL structure, and provides recommendations on potential changes that may impact financial reporting and create value
  • Proactively identifies and addresses potential accounting errors/risks on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with US and International GAAP.
  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions.
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them.
  • Partner with peers to develop and implement best practice across geographies utilizing time zones to provide around the clock service to our customers.
