Ergo is seeking an IT Security Manager for a permanent hybrid role with a market-leading client in Galway. As IT Security Manager, you will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and information assets by implementing and maintaining security measures across the entire IT environment.

Candidates should have a diverse skill set with experience in network, systems, and information security, and a good grasp of standards such as ISO27001 and NIS2. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and/or CEH are desirable.

What will you do?
  • Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures (ISO27001, NIS2).
  • Conduct regular system audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing.
  • Collaborate with all departments to promote best security practices.
  • Oversee a team to monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
  • Ensure network security is in line with market standards using firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection platforms, and encryption tools.
  • Oversee the management of system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Detect, analyze, and respond to security breaches.
  • Perform log analysis and digital forensics.
You should have experience in the following:
  • Network and endpoint security, identity management, and compliance standards.
  • SIEM tools and incident response workflows.
  • Network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, DLP, vulnerability scanners, IAM, Active Directory, LDAP, RBAC, MFA.
  • Cloud access security brokers (CASBs).
  • Cloud security and Azure & AWS security best practices.
The following certifications are desirable:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CISSP
  • CEH
  • CompTIA Security+
  • GSEC
