About the role
As part of our ongoing development, we are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will assist in our management reporting and forecasting processes. The role offers the opportunity to learn and develop well-rounded business and finance experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Assist in meeting all deadlines for the month end close process:
- Preparation, analysis and posting of journals
- Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations
- Review of P&L and Balance Sheet for full legal entity
- Preparation of monthly management reporting packs
- Preparation of multi-currency bank reconciliations
- Analysis of variances vs budget
- Prepare statutory and tax returns for UK and Ireland
- Coordinate with AR / AP teams
- Record and reconcile intercompany balances
- Assist in preparing financial statements and year end external audit process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the budget and cashflow forecasting process
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Support departmental, ad hoc & other projects as required

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Member of a recognised professional accounting body e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA
- 1-2 years of experience gained in an international company / multi-cultural environment
- Member of a recognised professional accounting body e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience of ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 an advantage

- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex financial issues
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong team player who thrives working both cross-functionally and globally, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Work Requirements
- Compliance to all relevant Toppan Security policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems
- Occasional international travel and fieldwork may be required
