Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? A well-established and growing healthcare business is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary of €45,000 per annum and a benefits package that supports your well-being and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities Of The Accounts Assistant Job

  • Maintain and support sales and purchase ledgers
  • Reconcile customer accounts and manage communication on overdue balances
  • Process payments accurately and resolve discrepancies
  • Investigate account irregularities and escalate issues as needed
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations and post to the nominal ledger
  • Assist in monthly and year-end account preparation
  • Support the Customer Service team with account-related queries, including issuing customer credits
  • Handle staff expense reconciliation and processing
  • Provide general accounts support and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks

Key Requirements Of The Accounts Assistant Job
  • Previous experience in a similar accounts role
  • Strong reconciliation and financial processing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Solid understanding of journals and general accounting practices
  • Experience with SAP Business One is a distinct advantage (training provided if needed)
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy, and communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
