Post TV is the contracted media sales house for TG4, Ireland's national Irish-language television broadcaster. We are passionate about connecting brands with TG4's unique and engaged audience. TG4 offers a diverse range of programming, from drama and documentaries to sports and entertainment and is a vital part of Ireland's cultural landscape. TG4 aims to promote and celebrate Irish language and culture through the development of Irish talent and by supporting Irish language media production.As a dynamic and growing team, Post TV is committed to delivering innovative and effective advertising solutions for our clients across all of TG4's platforms.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, hard-working individual to play a key role in the continued growth and success of Post TV. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new advertising partnerships via direct commercial and government clients, developing strong relationships, and driving revenue growth for TG4 across all revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new direct advertising clients across a variety of sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key direct clients.
  • Present compelling advertising solutions tailored to clients' needs, leveraging TG4's diverse programming and audience insights.
  • Negotiate and close direct advertising deals/pricing within agreed metrics, ensuring alignment with airtime objectives and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate closely with traffic and airtime teams to deliver integrated campaigns within deal parameters.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and future strategies.
  • Represent Post TV at industry events and networking opportunities.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the media, advertising, or broadcast industry (minimum 5+ years of experience preferred).
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communicationskills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to understand, interpret and analyse numerical data is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the Irish media landscape and advertising business.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with clients.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and tenacious approach to sales & business development, team player.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for media and an appreciation for Irish language and culture is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in Irish is desirable.
