Role Overview:Our Client Ireland has an exciting opportunity for an Sales Applications Engineer based in Dublin West, Ireland offering a hybrid working environment with the requirement to technically support our sales team implementing the local strategies aimed at developing and executing our growth strategy for the Irish market.

As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for the interpretation of specifications and selection of applicable products from the full range of Our Client equipment and systems. Reporting to the Sales Director and assisting the senior sales team on a daily basis, you will be involved in all stages of the quotation process from initial design contact right through to the final installation including selection of equipment, preparing quotations and liaising with contractors, consultants and end users as necessary. You will also be responsible for ensuring the technical and commercial suitability of our products depending on each client’s individual requirements. What’s more, you’ll undertake an excellent training programme to become an expert in their innovative products and systems. 

Responsibilities will include:
  • Work extensively and collaboratively with internal engineering teams and external construction stakeholders to solve customer issues and drive a value based selling proposition.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our product offerings, technical specifications, and their applications to effectively communicate value propositions to Our Client clients.
  • Assess customer drawings and specifications and prepare proposal of suitable products.
  • Support sales team with technical clarifications and project preparations.
  • Become an expert in the full Our Client product portfolio including both product and system offerings.
  • Select and price equipment to meet requirements for the tender process.
  • Maintain customer information in the company CRM to ensure efficient and effective data management.
  • Manage customer queries in a professional and satisfactory way.
  • Active participation in the local and wider sales team to include any initiatives relating to sales force effectiveness and overall skill development.

Requirements & Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in HVAC industry.
  • Must have working knowledge of the fundamental concepts of heating, ventilating, air conditioning & HVAC systems including basic knowledge of equipment control technology desirable.
  • Strong computer and software skills.
  • Team Player with strong customer focused attitude.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team.
