The Royal Hospital Donnybrook Grade IV Accounts Assistant WTE 1.0 Grade Code 0558 The Royal Hospital Donnybrook provides Post-Acute, Stroke Rehabilitation, Neurorehabilitation and General Rehabilitation services, Day Hospital services, Respite and Residential Care services to adults. The hospital is a voluntary, charitable organisation. Services are provided on a not-for- profit basis. Overview Of Role TheAccounts Assistant willwork as an active member of the Finance Team by carrying out key duties in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable and patient funds. Prompt receipt of amounts owing, prompt resolution of queries and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders are key components of this role. A team player mindset is required as covering the duties of fellow team members during periods of absence will be a key responsibility. The Accounts Assistant will be a member of a small Finance team within RHD. Agresso is the accounting software system used by the Finance team. Reporting To Financial Accountant PrincipalDutiesandResponsibilities Principal duties and responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant are set out under the headings below. Accounts Receivable Invoicing of patients and preparation of HSE invoice Maintaining records relating to Fair Deal contributions Correspondence with residents and relatives of residents Posting of AR invoices on Agresso system Sending statements to invoices Resolving overdue balances Set up of new residents on Agresso Accounts Payable Processing of invoices to include matching with GRN and obtaining signed approval Payment of invoices Posting of AP invoices on Agresso system Liaison with RHD staff and external suppliers to resolve invoice or statement queries Reconciliation of supplier statements with amounts owing per Agresso system Set up of new suppliers on Agresso Resident Funds Processing of resident funds and keeping records of resident ledgers Sending statements to residents upon request Preparing Agent Applications for Dept of Social Protection Banking & Cash Receiving of cash and cheques from residents, patients and donors Processing of bank receipts and payments on Agresso Preparation of bank lodgements and associated tasks relating to collection of monies Preparing cheques for residents or staff upon request Other Processing donations and corresponding with donors Preparation of reconciliations for areas that may include debtors, bank and patient funds Participating in resolution of queries and requests raised during the annual statutory audit and periodic internal audits where applicable Covering team members duties during periods of absence Carrying out Ad Hoc duties that arise from time to time as requested by the Financial Accountant or Head of Finance System: Updating of schedules and preparation of monthly report Respite Financially assessing respite patients Preparing respite invoices Preparing the monthly respite revenue Schedule Desirable: Public Sector Pay experience desirable.
