About Vision Sport Ireland Vision Sports Ireland is a subsidiary of Vision Ireland formerly known as National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI). Vision Sport Ireland is the National Governing Body for sport and physical activity for blind and vision impaired people in Ireland. The Role Vision Sports Ireland has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Partner and Operations Coordinator who will play an important role in implementing the soon to be launched strategic plan. The Partner and Operations Coordinator will play a key role in promoting the work of Vision Sports Ireland through various digital content and channels. The successful candidate will work closely with the Vision Sports Ireland team and Vision Ireland services to develop systems and procedures to grow the organisations membership base and reach. The appointee will work closely with the National Sports Development Manager and wider team to coordinate programmes, campaigns and initiatives as required. This candidate should be highly motivated, innovative, creative and have an attention for detail. The Partner and Operations Coordinator will be part of a small progressive team and required to work in a way which reflects the core values of Vision Sports Ireland and Vision Ireland. The candidate will promote opportunities for movement and independence for people who are blind and vision impaired through sport and physical activity. This is a full time, permanent role. This role is funded by Sport Ireland programme funding. Reporting The Partner and Operations Coordinator will report to the National Sports Development Manager. Role Overview & Requirements The ideal candidate will hold a third level qualification in business management, communications, recreation and leisure management or similar field. It is essential the person appointed has a proven track record in content creation, CRM systems, communications, social media, graphic design, education portals, as well as programme and stakeholder management. Experience and understanding of working within disability sports sector is advantageous. The Partner and Operations Coordinator is an integral role to Vision Sports Ireland with responsibility for growing the membership base of the organisation and working with colleagues to create a pathway to improving physical activity outcomes for VSI members. The successful candidate will develop and oversee a strategy for VSI to establish an information hub where education material will support with building capacity in the community. The role will also be responsible for programme and campaign management. A key priority for the successful candidate will be to increase awareness of the VSI brand and the digital content associated with programme delivery. Key Responsibilities Provide key input into day-to-day operations of Vision Sports Ireland. Develop and oversee a strategy to grow membership Lead on campaigns and content creation to increase awareness of the VSI brand. Develop digital solutions to achieve excellence in the delivery of the annual operational plan. Explore collaborations with internal and externa partners. Work with the Vison Sports Ireland team to increase participation in programs and initiatives. Work as part of a motivated and dedicated team to service the priorities of Vision Sports Ireland. Monitoring, updating and evaluation of website and social media analytics, e-newsletter may be a requirement. Responsible for Women in Sports applications, reports and activities. Identify and manage corporate partners as required. Continually evaluate and monitor the quality of services provided by Vision Sports Ireland. Serve and support colleagues as a member of the Vision Sports Ireland Team including, but not limited to, funding applications and reporting. Contribute to funding, sponsorship activities related to Vision Sports Ireland. Collaborating with National Governing Bodies of Sport, Local Sports Partnerships and Disability Services. This is not an exhaustive list and the role will include any duties required by Vision Sport Ireland/Vision Ireland from time to time which are appropriate for the position and the needs of the organisation(s). The role will involve out of hours evening and weekend work from time to time. Garda vetting will be conducted for the successful candidate. Person Specification Hold a third level qualification (minimum degree level) in sports, recreation or leisure management, communications, business management or relevant discipline. Experience working in sports, physical activity or communications sector. Experience in bringing innovative thinking and creativity to problem solving complex issues, and sound decision making and judgment. An ability to communicate with impact and influence (written, oral and presentation). Professional level of English required. Passion for sport and inclusion. Strong office IT/Design skills. Excellent social media and marketing skills. Proficient in CRM systems. Ability to work as part of a diverse, dynamic and high performing team.
