Role Overview: Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced IT Programme Administrator for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support a high-profile public sector organisation undergoing major transformation. The role involves working within a complex programme environment with multi-million-pound budgets, requiring strong project governance, reporting, and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities: Programme Administration: Support the programme team in managing governance structures, ensuring project documentation, reporting, and controls are in place. Stakeholder Management: Engage and communicate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams. Vendor Management: Liaise with external suppliers and service providers to ensure contract compliance and delivery of key milestones. Budget Management: Track programme budgets, monitor spend against forecasts, and assist with financial reporting. Risk & Issue Management: Maintain and manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies), escalating key risks to leadership. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare status reports, board packs, and presentations for senior leadership, ensuring clear and concise communication of progress. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, policies, and best practices in line with PRINCE2 or equivalent methodologies. Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 1 year of project experience, ideally in large-scale IT or transformation programmes. Professional Background: Previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong ability to work in structured and high-pressure environments. Project Knowledge:Demonstrated experience with RAID logs, risk management, and programme governance. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail in documentation and reporting. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint). Qualifications: A recognised PRINCE2 or related project management qualification (e.g., PMP, Agile, or similar) is desirable.
