**Team Leader - Panel Assembly**The Assembly – Team Leader leads team members in the production assembly area, with assignments and specific tasks for the department. This position has responsibilities in administration, production, workflow, work scheduling, and work assignments. Provides work direction, coaching/mentoring to other assemblers on the line that is responsible for assembling components, sub-assemblies, and final products.*Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.***What You Will Do:*** Lead and motivate assembly teams to meet production schedules, quality, and safety standards.* Assign tasks, provide work direction, and coach/mentor team members on assembly processes and techniques. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for specialized assembly processes, tools, or machinery.* Ability to influence and motivate team members effectively without formal authority.* Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to guide assembly work.* Operate and set up machinery and tools (e.g., drills, presses, soldering equipment) safely and efficiently.* Assemble components, subassemblies, and precision parts, troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues as needed.* Troubleshoot and resolve non-standard or unprecedented issues in the assembly process using judgment and prior experience.Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools(e.g., rulers, tape measures, calipers, micrometers) , document non-conformance, and work with Quality Team on advanced audits.Other duties as assigned. Education: 2+ years of assembly experience. Specialized roles (e.g., electromechanical assembly) may require 1–3 years of experience.Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and equipment. Computer literacy, including data entry, basic knowledge of ERP systems, and ability to use barcode scanners. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively. Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards. Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles. Familiarity with quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies Ability to handle parts and tools with precision. Standing Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75lbsAbility to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
