Claims Service Executive

Summary of Role

The purpose of this role is to provide a superior claims service to your nominated client portfolio and to always protect your clients' best interests, while achieving the best possible outcome for all claims. This will be embodied through achieving the highest standards of customer care, efficiency, compliance and Teamwork.

As a Claims handler, you will be responsible for handling liability claims for our corporate clients. You will work closely with insurers and other specialists and service providers to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients. Responsibilities will include managing claims on a day-to-day basis and ensuring a high standard of technical quality and communication is maintained throughout the claims process. Where training is needed, we will provide both Technical and, on the job, to assist with the performance of the role.

The Role

- Proactively deal with all aspects of client claims from notification through to settlement
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Claims Environment including the Injuries Board and Irish Legal System
- Have a clear understanding of policy covers across all classes of non-life insurance
- Implement agreed claims handling protocols
- Robustly challenge Insurers' strategy/reserves where necessary
- Responsibility for handling liability claims for our corporate clients across various lines of business.
- Manage the investigation of incidents and accidents.
- Responsibility for reserve allocation
- Managing the IRB process.
- Arranging medical examinations.
- Arranging engineering inspections
- Instructing solicitors.
- Attending review meetings and ensuring regular communication with our clients.
- Relationship management.
- You will work closely with our WTW account teams, insurers and other service providers.

Your role in the team will include the following elements

Technical knowledge and Customer Care

- Proactively deal with all aspects of claims management from notification through to settlement.
- Deliver excellent claims and client service in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Provide best in class advice and ensure the client is kept fully informed of all developments.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Claims Environment including the Injuries Board and Irish Legal System.
- Have a clear understanding of policy covers across all classes of non-life insurance.
- Implement agreed claims handling protocols.
- Preparation of claims data for internal/external end-users
- Ability to sell the claims service.
- Foster beneficial relationships with Insurers.
- Support Account Executives/Brokers by maintaining excellent relationship with the client and keeping them fully informed of important developments.

Efficiency and Compliance

- Maintain Company Standards including Compliance and Willis Excellence Model.
- Understand the claims process.
- Participate in project work.

Qualifications

- APA minimum
- CIP beneficial
- ACII desirable

Teamwork

- Co-operate with colleagues in a supportive, friendly, and professional manner.
- Support with the completion of administration work.
