We are seeking an Assistant Compliance Officer to support our Compliance Function in ensuring adherence to a wide range of regulatory requirements across the EU and Ireland. This role sits within the second line of defence , working closely with various business units to provide expert oversight, challenge, and guidance on compliance and conduct-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Support the Head of Compliance in monitoring compliance with key regulatory frameworks, including MiFID II, MiFIR, MAR, and AML/CFT .

Maintain and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and the overarching compliance framework.

Contribute to risk assessments, thematic reviews, and compliance monitoring activities.

Analyse regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.

Assist with investigations into suspicious activity or potential breaches of market conduct rules.

Prepare compliance reports, metrics, and updates for senior management and governance forums.

Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.

Provide day-to-day support to business functions on regulatory matters and compliance queries.

Contribute to internal compliance training on conduct, regulatory obligations, and financial crime.

Promote a culture of integrity and compliance across the organisation.

Your Profile

Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or a related discipline; a professional compliance qualification (e.g. ACOI, ICA) is a strong plus.

1–2 years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory, or risk-focused role within financial services (e.g. investment firms, brokerages, asset management, or consultancy).

Solid knowledge of Irish and EU financial regulation, particularly MiFID II, MiFIR, MAR , and anti-money laundering requirements.

Demonstrated experience supporting or maintaining compliance frameworks in a regulated environment.

Interest in financial markets and understanding of trading practices, market structures, and order execution.

Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

Team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate issues appropriately.

High attention to detail, professional integrity, and sound judgement.
