Job Description Duties This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating the switchboard: answering phones, recording details for follow-up consultations with information officers
Managing reception: interacting with clients, managing queues, setting client expectations regarding wait times
Providing simple non-confidential information and advice at reception
Assisting callers in scheduling appointments with relevant clinics (e.g., FLAC, Local specialist clinics)
Preventing overcrowding at reception
Supporting staff in the interview rooms
Supporting volunteer staff
Inputting information into CIS data collection systems
Monitoring reception emails when directed
Reporting on Social Policy issues
Handling administrative tasks: mail shots, photocopying, recording incoming and outgoing post, Scheme Worker rota, collecting customer feedback (surveys, comment cards, etc.)
Ensuring the Citizens Information Service has an adequate stock of publications, information leaflets, application forms, etc.
Assisting the Development Manager with office work
Attending regular team meetings
Performing duties as assigned by the Development Manager
Please note that training is an integral part of the CE programme and must be undertaken.
