Key job responsibilities

- Design and manage high and medium voltage substation systems across multiple geographical regions
- Develop comprehensive electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software
- Collaborate with regional vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers to specify optimal electrical equipment
- Create detailed construction documents and technical specifications that meet rigorous quality standards
- Support project lifecycle from site selection through commissioning and system validation.

A day in the life
Your day will be a dynamic blend of technical design, collaborative problem-solving, and strategic planning.

You'll transition seamlessly between conceptualizing electrical system designs, engaging with cross-functional teams, and developing innovative solutions that push the boundaries of data center engineering.

About the team
We are a global engineering team dedicated to continuous improvement and technological excellence. Our EMEA team thrives on challenging conventional approaches and creating scalable, efficient power infrastructure such as High Voltage Substations and Grid Connections. We value creativity, technical expertise, and a collaborative spirit that drives Amazon's mission forward.- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Substations design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and power systems modeling software
- Strong understanding of electrical system design principles
- Technical knowledge of power distribution and substation infrastructure
- Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and engineering drawings- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or advanced technical specialization
- Experience with international electrical standards and compliance requirements
- Advanced certification in power systems engineering
- Familiarity with renewable energy infrastructure design
- Multilingual communication skills
- 3 years of experience directly related to data center or mission critical facility design.
