Job Description Reporting to the SME Sales Lead, the Sales Account Manager will deliver revenue growth and strengthen relationships within the SME sector. You will implement sales activities to achieve and exceed sales and profit targets, while identifying opportunities to expand market share. The role focuses on maximising financial returns through tailored solutions, maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and providing excellent customer service. By safeguarding An Post Commerce's competitive position and reputation, you will ensure sustainable growth, while collaborating with colleagues to deliver integrated solutions that create value for customers and the business. Responsibilities Meet or exceed annual sales targets, sales distribution and pricing objectives within their customers' portfolio Maintain powerful business relationships with key decision makers within their customers' portfolio Maintain awareness of competitor activity and development in the market place recommending action and intervention where appropriate Create and maintain accurate records and reports on customers, market information and products/services Through an in depth knowledge of our customer base, develop area plans that maximise An Post Commerce's revenue and margin within their customers' portfolio Identify potential new customers, leverage customer research and feedback to optimise sales opportunities Drive and maintain An Post Commerce's strong presence in the market. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing support and being responsive to customer needs and market opportunities Demonstrate An Post Values and behaviours in their day to day work and address behaviour that supports/ conflicts with them. Qualifications You will have at least two years' trade and/or company experience and knowledge, a track record of achieving sales and market share objectives within a sales territory and be familiar with marketing and selling techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels, be organised, self-motivated and capable of working on your own initiative is key. You must demonstrate commercial and business awareness and have basic PC skills. A full clean driving licence is essential. Appointment to this position will not incur an increase in salary for a candidate of equivalent grade. Appointment There will be a six-month probationary period and process in place for those appointed to the above position. Should a successful applicant fail to achieve the standards expected at any stage during the probationary period, there will be early, effective intervention designed to enable them to reach and maintain acceptable standards of performance. However, should they fail to reach and maintain these standards following this intervention; they will revert to their previous grading/position and to the salary point they would have reached if they had continued in that grade provided the record of service during your period in the position now advertised was satisfactory from the point of view of conduct.
