I. JOB SUMMARY
Emergent is looking to recruit a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues located in Ireland and in the U.S. and will have a broad range of responsibilities. Experience in preparation of items for month-end procedures is key and proficiency in the use of SAP is preferred. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Enter and apply cash receipts for the US and Canada
2. Ensure customer deductions are posted correctly to each customer account
3. Investigate and resolve unknown deductions
4. Issue consolidated invoices on a monthly basis
5. Prepare month-end AR reconciliation
6. Work closely with the sales and operations teams to resolve client billing queries
7. Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection of payments
8. Assist with, or assume responsibility for, other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
1. 3 years plus experience in an accounts receivable role
2. Experience in providing strong customer service
3. Proficient in using SAP
4. Strong analytical and excellent numerical skills
5. Good written and verbal communication skills
6. Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
7. Willing to work on a broad range of tasks from routine and administrative to complex
U.S. Base Pay Ranges and Benefits Information
The estimated annual base salary as a new hire for this position ranges from $30,500 to $36,800. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. Certain roles are eligible for additional incentive compensation, including merit increases, annual bonus, and/or long-term incentives in the form of stock options.
