Link Personnel have a great opportunity for a Commodity Manager who is available immediately and wish to progress their experience within an Engineering environment.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career.

- As a commodity manager, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset based on commercial knowledge and familiarity of commodity markets.
- You will be responsible for a defined direct material field, including the pooling and procurement of commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies, interacting with suppliers and cross-functions to ensure the resilience & sustainability of our supply chain.
- You will drive the advancement of the supplier base to support the growing demand at our manufacturing locations.
- You are expected to perform end to end supplier risk management to ensure delivery, quality and cost targets are achieved today and, in the future.
- You will act as focal point between sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.
- On an ongoing basis, you will interact with our commodity management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations and global commodity strategy.

- You have a proven ability to drive assignments to full implementation in collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality)
- You are experienced in supplier capacity, process, and capability assessment and able to identify improvement potentials.
- You are a good communicator and team player with the drive to implement changes.
- You can build strong and influential business relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Required for the success of this role

- BS/BA in related discipline QQI level 8
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience in related field, preferably in FDA controlled environment
- Expertise in commodities sourced for in-vitro diagnostic devices
- Willing to travel up to 20%
