Strategic Projects and Sustainability Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced property professional to join our team as the Strategic Projects and Sustainability Lead. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to manage transformative projects across the country, lead sustainability initiatives, and shape the future of asset management.

Our client is tasked with developing large residential schemes via traditional procurement and development partnerships. It operates under legislative frameworks and is overseen by an independent board, with a government commitment of up to €5 billion in equity capital.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive the implementation of strategic asset management priorities to enhance property performance and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Lead the delivery of asset management strategies focused on long-term cost rental performance.
- Build and manage key external partnerships and stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless project coordination and growth.
- Oversee financial and viability appraisals for new schemes and develop plans for challenging sites.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, health, and safety regulations and internal standards.
- Lead sustainability efforts, including meeting climate action goals, obtaining certifications, and embedding ESG principles.
- Develop and implement IT systems to optimize property management, compliance, and data analysis.
- Manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure value for money.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated housing, asset, and property management services.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in residential property or real estate operations.
- Postgraduate qualification in real estate, project management, or sustainability is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the residential real estate sector and public procurement.
- Proven track record in project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of sustainability principles and their application in property operations.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution is advantageous.
- Must have a full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
