Laois Region Residential Services RESIDENTIAL LEADER (Social Care Manager 1/CNM1 - Includes Person in Charge Responsibility) Fixed Term 24 months 70 hours per fortnight Contract We are looking for dynamic leaders to support people with intellectual disability to achieve their life goals, dreams and aspirations. Bring your passion for community, innovation, and supportive leadership to create a positive living environment where everyone thrives Person Specification The ability to lead and support teams keeping individuals at the centre of service provision at all times by promoting self-determination and self-direction. Demonstrate an ability to manage competing priorities. Lead and inspire teams to deliver exceptional care and support within our residential services. Foster a positive, inclusive culture where residents feel empowered and valued within their home and local community. Oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with regard to National Regulations. Engage with the community and spearhead initiatives that enhance residents experiences. Manage resources efficiently, contributing to both resident satisfaction and operational excellence. Communicate effectively with the individuals we support, their families and people important in each individuals life. Ability to work on their own initiative as well as supporting colleagues within a Team. Support the maintenance of up to date and accurate recording to ensure and demonstrate a high standard of care and support to each resident. Demonstrate interpersonal skills including; planning, data management, IT and organisational skills. Have a robust knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and statutory requirements and their responsibilities as a Person In Charge. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills for the role: Have Qualification appropriate to the role e.g. Nursing, Social Care, other relevant qualification. 3 years supervisory/managerial experience qualifying them to take on the role of PIC within intellectual disability services. Completed a Management Course. Full current manual driving licence to drive in Ireland. Participation in the regional On-call roster. Suitability as outlined above.
