We have fantastic opportunity for a Planning & Performance Management Actuary to join our award-winning team. This a great job for a qualified Actuary looking to continue developing in their career with Irelands leading Insurance, Wealth and Retirement business A bit about the job: The Planning and Performance Actuary is a key member of the Financial Performance team at Aviva Life and Pensions Ireland. The successful candidate will report directly to the FP&A Actuary and will work closely with Actuarial, Risk & the wider business. You will: Play a key role in producing the annual business plan on both a SII and IFRS basis. Regular refreshing of the planning projections to reflect latest experience to provide management with latest planning view across key financial and non-financial metrics Assist the business deliver on our strategy through regular collaboration and challenge. Monitor actual results and providing analysis of deviations from planning results Continued optimisation of the planning process to deliver ongoing improvements. Help to grow the business by ensuring that our strategy optimises our capital usage as well as focuses on realisation of value from our back book and New Business growth Provide support and technical advice to the FP&A Actuary and Head of Performance and wider business. Participate in capital management activities throughout the year including producing impact assessment for these activities. Promote a robust risk and controls environment with emphasis on strong documentation and risk management. Skills and experience were looking for: Detailed understanding of the life insurance industry, including financial regulation Technical experience of documentation and production of capital & IFRS metrics Ability to interpret data and establish alternatives and solutions to complex problems Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical actuarial and accounting information in a non-technical manner Ability to build relationships and interact effectively at all levels Market and commercial knowledge. Understand the needs of our end customers. A detailed knowledge of relevant statutory, legal and regulatory frameworks and corporate governance Good people management, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
