Job Type Permanent Full-Time Location Dublin City, County Dublin, Ireland Job Details Vhi Insurance DAC have a full time permanent vacancy for the role of Risk & Compliance Planning and Policy Specialist based in Dublin or Kilkenny on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial Markets & Product senior management team to ensure a cohesive approach to risk and compliance and play a vital role in safeguarding Vhi against risks while ensuring PMI health insurance products remain compliant with regulatory standards. This position is integral to fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness within Commercial Markets & Product. Role purpose: Lead the development and implementation of the risk management frameworks and strategies to support Product Management and the wider Commercial Markets & Product (CMP) team Lead the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to how risk and compliance is managed within Commercial Markets & Product (CMP) and is aligned with the organisations risk management framework Responsible for keeping updated on changes in health insurance regulations and standards in Ireland, including EU directives that may impact how products are designed and managed through the product life cycle Prepare reports, papers and updates for the CPM senior management team regarding regulatory changes and their implications for CMP and Product Management Develop training programmes and materials for Product Management and the wider CMP team to promote awareness of risk and compliance issues related to health insurance products Responsible for organising and facilitating workshops to keep teams informed about best practices and regulatory changes Create monitoring frameworks to track compliance with internal policies and external regulations Generate reports for CPM senior management that provide insights into compliance status, risk exposure, and areas for improvement Analyse current processes related to product management to identify inefficiencies or compliance gaps and develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency Support the Risk and Compliance Co-Ordinator in conducting risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks within Commercial Markets & Product (CMP) Responsible for supporting the Risk and Compliance Co-Ordinator analyse data related to compliance incidents, helping to identify trends and areas that require attention ensuring resources are allocated to manage risk and compliance monitoring and reporting effectively Act as the subject matter expert for all risk and compliance matters within the CMP team supporting them with compliance and risk queries they may have Skills and abilities required: Education and experience 2-4 years' experience in risk management, compliance, or product management within the health insurance sector is essential. A degree in law, business, or a related field. Professional certifications in risk management or compliance are advantageous Familiarity with regulatory frameworks specific to the health insurance industry is a plus Interpersonal skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels and preparing reports and other documentation Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders on complex issues Self-driven, motivated and results orientated A keen eye for detail to ensure thorough analysis and accurate reporting Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values. Technical skills Excellent problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective compliance measures Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable strategies Vhi is an equal opportunities employer.
