Overview A leading main contractor, headquartered in Dublin, is seeking a Group Bid Manager / Lead Bid Manager to take on a newly created strategic role within its preconstruction team. This senior appointment reflects a strong and growing pipeline of projects across Ireland and the UK.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end bid management process, from initial tender identification through to submission. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will shape bid strategy, oversee the preparation of high-quality technical and commercial submissions, and ensure all bids are delivered to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities Lead the bid process, including strategy development, planning, and submission.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including estimators, engineers, project managers, and business development teams.
Oversee and contribute to the preparation of written and technical proposals.
Review submissions to ensure quality, compliance, and client alignment.
Support continuous improvement of bid processes and performance.
Requirements Third-level degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline (essential).
Minimum 10 years’ experience in bid and tendering roles, preferably with a major contractor.
Strong track record in leading large-scale public or private sector bids.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to travel for client meetings as required.
