Our Government & Public Services (G&PS) team within Finance Transformation Consulting is expanding to support the needs of our clients with some of the most complex issues facing society and we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join us. Our specialist consulting team works side-by-side with Government Departments and agencies to drive strategic transformation to make an impact that matters for citizens. We do this by providing a range of specialist services, including service and operating model design, programme and change management, process redesign, and operational and digital transformation using industry leading tools. Working with our key G&PS clients, you will lead a team designing and delivering large scale public service transformation programmes - you will provide insights to, and learn from, a group of experienced leaders and industry experts from a diverse range of backgrounds. About the role: As a Senior Manager your responsibilities will include: Engagement oversight: Lead end-to-end delivery of engagements for Government and Public Services clients. Oversee the design and implementation of strategies, policies, operating models and digital transformation programmes in the area of finance as well as broader programmes. Relationship management: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior officials, offering guidance and strategic advice on complex issues. Problem solving and innovation: Bring innovative methods and tools to support clients in solving complex problems and issues. Business development and growth: Drive the growth of our G&PS Finance Transformation practice by identifying new opportunities, leading proposals and engaging with prospective & current clients with a focus on Finance Transformation and ERP initiatives. Team leadership & development: Manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high performance, collaboration and development of colleagues. Team management: Lead and drive the development of colleagues reporting into you both internally and on your client programme. About you: Previous consulting experience, gained in a consulting, or in-house environment, leading transformations in at least one of the following areas: Strategy design and alignment for Government Departments Service design Public Services financial management ERP transformations Operating model design & delivery (As Is - To Be Design) Organisational transformation (Finance / Corporate Services Function and/or full Org-wide) Project, programme and change management Data analytics, insight and reporting Operational excellence using Lean six sigma, RPA and/or AI Digital transformations including strategy, planning and/or implementation Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams on large scale transformation programmes Experience in managing project budgets, resourcing and risk in public sector environments Ability to think strategically and use issue-led problem solving, comfort with ambiguity, ability to adapt and learn quickly to think creatively to solve client issues Ability to distil complex ideas into simple concepts and clearly and concisely deliver key messages Understanding of government and public services policy, structure and culture Experience and knowledge of working with government and public services partners, preferably any of the following: central government, justice, health, social care, transport, infrastructure, education Relevant 3rd level qualification(s) Professional qualifications in Programme, Project Management or any accounting qualifications are preferred but not essential If you believe that you meet most of the criteria above, we encourage you to apply.
