The Role As aWordPress Developer, youll be a key part of a collaborative studio environment working alongside designers, strategists, and marketers to bring creative concepts to life. Youll build, optimise, and maintain WordPress sites that dont just look great but perform exceptionally across all devices. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, creativity, and the satisfaction of delivering high-quality digital work in a fast-paced agency setting. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites for a variety of clients. Build bespoke themes and plugins to support complex design and functionality. Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into pixel-perfect, responsive builds. Optimise sites for performance, accessibility, and SEO. Integrate APIs, CRMs, and third-party tools as required. Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance site performance. Stay up to date with the latest trends in WordPress and front-end development. Skills & Experience 3+ years experience developing WordPress sites (ideally in an agency environment). Strong knowledge ofPHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL. Proven experience creatingcustom themes and plugins. Familiarity withpage builders (Gutenberg, Elementor, etc.) andACF. Experience withWooCommerce,REST APIs, andGit version control. Strong attention to detail, with an eye for design and user experience. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic agency setting. Nice to Have Experience with SEO and analytics integrations (GA4, Tag Manager). Understanding of modern front-end workflows (npm, Webpack). Exposure to accessibility and performance testing tools.
