Location: Dublin
Tekno Surgical is an Irish Medical Device Distributor, and the largest business within the Uniphar Medtech Division in Uniphar Group.
The Marketing and Sales Support Executive role is an exciting opportunity to become involved in all areas of business development & market support in Tekno Surgical.
The suitable candidate will design, create and oversee the further development of the Tekno Surgical Marketing journey. This includes multi-platform marketing campaigns in line with our existing Sales Support function. The role will utilise all communication channels (email, social, digital, etc.) to reach all areas of Tekno's target audience.
Tekno Surgical's commercial organisation is structured into four Business Units, providing specialist products across a broad range of surgical disciplines including Joint Replacement, Trauma and Extremities and Head Neck and Spine.
Established in 1996 and based in Dublin, Tekno Surgical is a leading provider of Orthopaedic implants in Ireland. Tekno Surgical also has an extensive portfolio covering a wide range of specialties including Spine, Neuro, Interventional Radiofrequency, Maxillo Facial, ENT, Endoscopy, Surgical Robotics & Navigation Systems, Visualisation Equipment, Hospital Furniture, Operating Theatre Equipment and Hospital Department Refurbishments. Tekno's customer base includes all Public & Private Hospitals in Ireland. Revenue is c.€80M p.a. and growing.

With over 140 employees, the team comprises Clinical Sales, Technical Support Services, Sales Support, Customer Care, Warehouse, Procurement, Logistics, Loan Kits, Marketing, Quality Compliance & Sustainability, Clinical Training and Projects, enabling Tekno to fully represent global leading manufacturers within the Irish market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate marketing activities in line with the sales team.
- Develop and follow a marketing schedule in line with the marketing strategy for each of the business units in Tekno Surgical.
- Coordinate marketing & sales events, manage creative projects, create content, conduct research and monitor campaign performance.
- Manage & develop the digital marketing activities to include LinkedIn and Tekno Website.
- Gain a high-level knowledge of the Tekno Portfolio and Specialities.
- Assist Business Unit Leads in finding new Suppliers, identifying gaps in the Tekno Portfolio and conducting Market Research.
- Accompany Sales Staff to Conference & Educational Events as required, both local & international.
- Build up contacts and relationships with the Marketing Personnel in our Suppliers Organisations.
- Align Tekno with the marketing strategies of our Suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team Managers regarding Sales & Marketing initiatives and communications to the Market.
- Distribute marketing reports to Sales Managers regarding marketing initiatives & activities.
- Support tender submissions to customers, from a marketing perspective, preparing and collating the relevant marketing information.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work outside of standard working hours where/when required.
- Work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and initiative to proactively contribute to the marketing and sales support activities based on business need.
Key Skills & Experiences
- 2 years' experience in a similar Marketing role.
- Strong proficiency in IT skills, particularly Social Media platforms.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Growth mindset, positive attitude and ambition to grow.
- Strong customer orientation consistent with Tekno's ethos of not only meeting but exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Teamwork - the role requires working within a team and engaging with a sizable Field-based organisation.
- Superior organisation and planning skills.
- Strong Project Management skills including planning, budgeting, time management and resource allocation.
- Ability to work independently with little/no supervision.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Committed with a drive to succeed.
