PE Global are delighted to be working with our client, a leading tier 1 Building and Fit Out Contractor, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor for a range of projects in the Dublin region.
Please note there is no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance on offer.
Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance with Irish and EU regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis to prevent workplace accidents and hazards.
Provide expert guidance and training to employees on health, safety, and environmental best practices.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Lead and support internal and external HSE audits, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions.
Work closely with site managers, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a safe working environment.
Maintain records and reports related to HSE performance, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to relevant authorities.
Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices, implementing improvements where necessary.
Act as a key point of contact for all HSE-related matters, ensuring a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSE advisory role, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or a high-risk industry.
Degree or relevant qualification in Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety laws and regulations.
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certifications are highly desirable.
Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
