Overview
Site Acquisition Manager, Data Center Planning and Acquisition — ByteDance

Responsibilities

Work with stakeholders to understand capacity needs and site requirements in assigned metros/regions. Conduct data center market analysis, lead site acquisition strategy and drive executive decisions accordingly.

Engage and bring qualified suppliers onboard and drive the end-to-end site acquisition / procurement process, including due diligence and recommending leases for approval.

Manage existing lease portfolios and drive a long-term acquisition strategy for cost efficiency and quality assurance. Experience with land & power acquisitions is a plus.

Work with cross-functional business partners to negotiate and prepare executable contracts.

Qualifications

5+ years Site acquisition experience in a mission-critical, large-scale production environment

5+ years working in the data center, infrastructure, or other relevant segments

Bachelor's degree in Arts or Sciences or Business or technical discipline; Masters / MBAs preferred

In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure, including both technical and commercial solutions

Confident in taking ownership, willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done with proven experience leading complex initiatives to successful completion in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills

Willing to travel as needed
