Job Description Reporting to the Learning and Talent Development Manager, this role will work closely with executive sponsors across business units, their leadership teams, our HRBPs and relevant functional SMEs to support our current green light strategy and organisational capabilities. Providing high quality learning interventions to develop our people across An Post. Key to success will be identifying skills and capability gaps to develop, deliver and co-ordinate appropriate strategies and interventions, as well as supporting our talent development activities. Responsibilities The principal responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: Lead the design and development of appropriate learning solutions for digital and business agility capability gaps within the An Post Institute framework. This is done in partnership with functional subject matter experts, learning colleagues, and third-party suppliers where relevant. Develop robust scalable plans with a skills-based focus, ensuring we have a future ready workforce. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions using recognised learning evaluation models. Report on whether learning is achieving overall impact and contributing to business success and value Liaise and consult with executive sponsors in addition to functional leads on defining and validating skills and capability needs Build and support talent development activities at management levels. Build and implement best in class learning and development practices within the team. Build strong relationships with relevant functions and HR Business Partners by engaging, communicating, and influencing across all levels of leadership. Support Learning & Talent Development to drive a culture of continuous learning across all business units within An Post. Support An Post to build digital, business agility and leadership capabilities aligned to our ongoing transformation. Research and identify external learning and development trends, technologies, methodologies and ways of working which are appropriate and relevant to An Post. Demonstrate An Post Values and behaviours in day to day work and interactions. Qualifications Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive responsibility and measurable success in learning and development including relevant experience leading out on talent development and/or digital and/or leadership solutions at enterprise level. A third level relevant qualification in HR or business-related field is desirable. Professional training qualification e.g. L&DI, CIPD etc. is also desirable but not mandatory Experience of the full learning and development cycle from diagnosis through to evaluation Experience of using learning technologies and virtual tools (webinar platforms) to enhance the employee experience. Experience of designing and delivering blended learning & development solutions to support business transformation. Experience of building relationships with a variety of stakeholders An appreciation of accessibility needs of learners Good understanding of many digital advancements e.g. A.I., Automation, Data Literacy etc. The ability to work unsupervised and proactively on own initiative You'll also need to be an effective communicator, and programme manager, with the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and coordinate work across teams. Applicants must follow the standard Company rules and regulations regarding conduct, performance and attendance. Salary The salary for this position is based on the CM1 pay range (median €79,269). The usual starting pay and promotion rules apply for those being promoted: that is the higher of either (i) 80% of the median €63,415 or (ii) the total of existing pay plus any productivity allowance, plus 5% of basic pay. The selection process may entail appropriate testing to assist in evaluating the suitability of candidates for the job and a competitive interview. Taking into account the CV and other supporting material together with the results of the tests and interview, an interview board report will be compiled and recommendations made on each applicant. Appointment There will be a six-month probationary period and process in place for the individual appointed to this position. Should a successful candidate fail to achieve the standards expected at any stage during the probationary period, there will be early, effective intervention designed to enable them to reach and maintain acceptable standards of performance. However, should they fail to reach and maintain these standards following this intervention; they will revert to their previous grading/position and to the salary point they would have reached if they had continued in that grade, provided the record of service during their period in the position now advertised was satisfactory from the point of view of conduct.
