Hobson Prior is seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Manager to oversee and guide the transition from research and development to full-scale commercial manufacturing at a pharmaceutical facility. This role focuses on leading microbiology operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving efficiency in quality control processes.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and manage microbiology testing processes and laboratory infrastructure.
- Lead the design and establishment of microbiology laboratories, including team management and resource allocation.
- Oversee updates to microbiological methods and specifications.
- Manage investigations related to microbiology and support technical transfers between sites.
- Coordinate external laboratory testing to align with internal quality standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with microbiology regulations.
- Work with various departments to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
- Support leadership development within Quality Control and Analytical R&D teams.
- Expand inhalation microbiology capabilities in collaboration with global teams.
- Assist senior leadership in scaling quality control operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and resource use.

Key Skills and Requirements:

- A degree in Microbiology or a related field.
- Experience in laboratory environments with a focus on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Strong knowledge of auditing and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
