Job description
The newly founded OAK Childcare Ltd. is seeking an experienced manager to join them in a fantastic, already established service. The service based in the heart of the community in Stamullen Co.Meath, has a capacity for 54 children and an established and long standing team. The service provides full day, part time, sessional and school aged care.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Day to day responsibility and operations of service for children and staff
2. Ensure a consistent and high quality child centred approach is implemented at all times
3. Develop curricula in line with Aistear and Siolta
4. Implement an inclusive environment
5. Attend meetings and undertake training as required
6. Revise policies and procedures as required
7. Adhere to Child Protection Policy of the service and report any concerns
8. Prepare long term, medium term and short term plans
9. Effectively market and promote the service
10. Manage a budget and maintain accounts
11. Maintain all records as required by Pobal, Tusla and DE
12. Represent the service during Tusla, D.E. and Pobal Inspections
13. Network with appropriate statutory and voluntary agencies
14. Ensure group is adequately insured and all safety equipment is maintained and regularly serviced (e.g., Fire equipment)
15. Develop ongoing positive relationships with parents
16. Facilitate regular staff meetings
17. Co-ordinate recruitment, induction, appraisal, support, supervision, and training requirements for staff
18. Maintain strict confidentiality
19. Perform any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time

Person Specifications

1. Minimum FETAC Level 7 in Childcare
2. Minimum 3 years work experience in a similar role
3. FETAC Level 6 in LINC desirable
4. Good ICT Skills
5. Experience with HIVE System
6. Ability to lead a team
7. Kindness, warmth, and responsiveness to the needs of children
8. Good communication and relating skills with children, staff, and parents
9. Ability to manage in a strengths-based approach
10. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
11. Occupational First Aid

Pay: €40,000.00-€43,000.00 per year
