Operations & Maintenance – Engineering – Ireland

Our client is seeking Operators, Lead Operators and O&M Engineering professionals to join their team in Ireland to support the execution of the operation and maintenance of a large scale thermal power plant.

The assigned Operators & Lead Operators will be capable of operating gas reciprocating engines and/or turbines, following OEM O&M manuals and interacting with the customer and OEMs on technical and administrative matters. They will manage both the planned shutdowns and unplanned breakdowns as well as operate and maintain GT Equipment and BOP, performing regular equipment inspections and walkdowns. All operations activities will be documented according to OEM standard procedures with plant performance aligned with the client/'s preferences.

You will be responsible for the following:

Operations

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify and address any operational issues.

Monitor and optimize plant performance, including efficiency, availability, and reliability.

Operate and control the power plant equipment, such as the engines, generators and auxiliary systems.

Manage fuel supply and consumption, ensuring adequate stock levels and quality.

Coordinate with the grid operator for power output scheduling and dispatch if required.

Maintenance

Develop and implement maintenance procedures for engines, generators and BOP Equipment.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on the Engine packages equally spaced throughout the year.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on the BOP.

Conduct corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as necessary to minimize downtime.

Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components and optimizing inventory levels.
