Our client, a respected Irish-owned construction firm, is seeking an experienced and detail-focused Payroll Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of payroll operations within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations. This role would suit someone with strong technical payroll expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across teams. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll for Ireland, the UK, and selected European/Nordic entities (in-house and outsourced). Ensure compliance with tax, pensions, Benefit in Kind, and statutory reporting requirements. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other teams to validate data (hires, leavers, promotions, salary changes). Maintain accurate payroll records, support audits, and address employee queries. Administer payroll systems, ensuring integrity, upgrades, and improvements. Stay updated on payroll regulations and contribute to ERP and process improvement projects. Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance function. Ideal candidate: 5+ years experience processing payroll for Ireland and the UK ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualification Ability to work in a fast-paced role, across several workstreams, and to meet deadlines. Highly organised, reliable, self-motivated and solution-driven, with the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a high-performance team across all entities Demonstrable experience in payroll management, with strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes Excellent analytical skills. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Skills: 5+ years experience Processed payroll Ire & UK ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualification
