We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team in Galway. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of our nursing home.
">Key Responsibilities:- Support the Director of Nursing in leading and supervising the delivery of person-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, national health policies, and all relevant legislation.
- Oversee infection prevention and control measures and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Support, supervise, and mentor nursing and care staff, promoting professional development.
- Participate in recruitment, rostering, performance appraisals, and team leadership.
- Act as a key contact for residents and families, ensuring dignity, autonomy, and choice.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives, deputising for the Director of Nursing as required.
To be successful, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in nursing management or a similar setting, with leadership training and/or a management qualification desirable. We welcome applications from Registered General Nurses with Irish experience.
