Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the expansion of existing projects through various stages, including design, build/installation, commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV), and handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will focus on ensuring that project execution adheres to safety protocols, schedule deadlines, and budget allocations while maintaining compliance with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.
  • Accountability lies with meeting key project deliverables, including equipment management and turnover management across multiple projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are compliant with industry standards, company policies, regulations, and codes.
  • Maintain close alignment with Engineering, EHS, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless support for project deliverables.
  • Utilize planning tools to manage complex projects efficiently and coordinate parallel activities.
  • Coordinate closely with facilities, EHS, QA, and other departments as needed.
  • Identify and categorize project risks based on their impact on scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop action plans to mitigate identified risks.
  • Manage small-scale equipment delivery from award to site through design, FATs, and installation.
  • Align with Construction Management Team (CMT) on equipment installation requirements.
  • Support client needs during Mechanical Completion and Turnover processes.
  • Compile all necessary equipment and trade information to facilitate engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure the successful start-up of all equipment and systems before handing over to Operations.
  • Oversee the operational readiness phase of each building to guarantee timely handover of operations to end users.
  • Present progress reports to stakeholders as required.
  • Coordinate engineering, EHS, and CQV support for efficient handover of buildings.
  • Complete the project close-out process according to established Stage Gate procedures.
  • Manage vendors for on-site work, ensuring adherence to safety and permitting requirements.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Process Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing and executing projects from conception to completion.
  • Familiarity with the project life-cycle process.
  • Proven understanding of project management principles, scheduling, design development, implementation, and project closeout.
  • Experience with executing and/or managing equipment and process design through construction.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional project teams and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proactive and accountable individual with a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Desirable: Experience in managing turnkey projects and familiarity with Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) processes.
