Senior Engineering Project Lead

We are currently recruiting a skilled Senior Engineering Project Lead to oversee the delivery of water and wastewater projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering and a strong understanding of the water industry.

About the Role:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of water and wastewater projects, from design to handover.
  • Develop designs, drawings, reports and technical calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with project contracts, specifications and quality standards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare technical submissions, reports and contract programmes.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets and resource schedules.
  • Oversee site works, including supervision of crews and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate site surveys and work packages.
  • Maintain Health & Safety compliance, including Safety Files and audits.
  • Manage documentation, drawing updates and change order logs.
  • Compile O&M manuals and ensure full project close-out.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering which will have been in a Project Engineering role.
  • Knowledge and experience of the water and waste water industry is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of AutoCAD with the capability to update drawings for construction and to coordinate between vendors and contractors.
  • Knowledge and experience of plant design, construction and commissioning.
  • Experience of managing contractors and sub-contractors for the delivery of projects.
  • Strong technical, delivery and commercial skills.
