Health and Safety Professional
Overview
As a Health and Safety Professional, you will support site safety in services and solutions businesses. Your primary goal will be to ensure compliance with current legal requirements and best practices, minimizing risks and maintaining correct working practices through an underpinning of culture and positive safety behaviors.
Responsibilities
• Support Services and Solutions Operations - Divisional/Regional management in implementing actions to deliver strategic health, safety, and sustainability plans.
• Work with site (local and on-field) management teams to advise, plan, and implement actions to improve the working environment and people wellbeing on sites.
• Investigate and review all accidents, incidents, and near misses. Recommend improvement actions and record them.
• Ensure that all suppliers and subcontractors are properly assessed before inclusion on the Approved List and regular reviews take place with all subcontractors.
• Support and assist in creating and providing training related to Environment, Health & Safety.
• Support the completion of Risk Assessments and POWRA and assist line managers in creating them in specific risk areas.
• Ensure all employees and subcontractors are following procedures and working according to RAMS.
• Arrange and carry out audits and HSE inspections at customer sites and offices. Make recommendations arising from inspections and monitor implementation.
• Coordinate customer audit requirements.
• Support OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, and ISO 39001 within the organisation.
• Support communication that raises HSE awareness, responsibility, and change of culture in line with organisational strategy.
