Job Title: Chief Costing SpecialistSenior Estimators play a crucial role in the success of construction projects, responsible for managing the tender process from receipt to submission. They must have strong communication skills and be able to liaise with internal and external teams effectively.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the tender process from receipt to submission
  • Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain
  • Organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
  • Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and negotiate with suppliers to meet project requirements
  • Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity assessments
  • Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
  • Review supply chain performance quarterly
  • Attend pre-qualification, mid-tender, and post-tender interviews
  • Visit sites to obtain feedback on project progress
  • Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies, and liaise with clients as required

Candidates should possess a Construction-related degree and at least 7 years of experience working as an Estimator for a main building contractor or similar. Experience working in Ireland is highly desirable. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
