Vehicle Damage Assessor Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our high-performing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-respected business known for its quality, integrity, and commitment to excellence in automotive repair.
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- Accurately assess vehicle damage using Audatex or similar estimating software
- Prepare clear, detailed repair estimates in line with industry standards
- Liaise effectively with insurance providers, customers, and our workshop team
- Plan and document repair jobs efficiently to support workflow
- Ensure all assessments and documentation are accurate, thorough, and compliant
Maintain an appropriate dress code that characterises professionalism and trust. Develop a follow-up system for all estimates not captured and for all completed jobs. Customer dissatisfaction issues should be dealt with swiftly and effectively.
Monitor and maintain company sales performance standards and sales goals, and post results each month for Management Review.
Continually work toward improving your sales skills, knowledge and strategies in order to increase traffic and closing ratio.
Verify that all signatures, work authorizations and pre-inspection checklists have been obtained prior to initiating the repairs.
Liase with the Parts Department to ensure all parts are ordered via email, paying particular attention to the selection of vendors to maximise profitability in the parts department.
Review all final accounts and supplements for accuracy, and thoroughly check the final repairs prior to delivery to the customer.
Develop and maintain an ongoing campaign to capture fleet accounts, insurance company referrals, and to boost customer awareness.
Attend the daily meeting, review the current status of sales and production, and plan daily, weekly and monthly strategies to boost performance.
