About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Accurate Vehicle Repair Estimator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate vehicle damage accurately using industry-standard estimating software.
- Prepare clear, detailed repair estimates that meet industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers, customers, and workshop teams.
- Plan and document repair jobs efficiently to support workflow.
- Ensure all assessments and documentation are accurate, thorough, and compliant.
- Greet customers in a friendly, positive manner and make them feel comfortable during the sales and estimate process.
- Educate customers about the process of getting a vehicle repaired, including insurance procedures, repair techniques, safety, value, etc.
- Inform customers confidently that you want their business and ensure they feel valued.
- Maintain a professional dress code at all times.
- Develop a follow-up system for all estimates not captured and completed jobs.
- Handle customer dissatisfaction issues swiftly and effectively.
- Prepare estimates accurately and efficiently on our computerised estimating system, ensuring the estimate becomes the blueprint for repairs.
- Achieve accuracy and detail in all aspects of the job.
- Familiarise yourself with guidelines and procedures for processing jobs using step-by-step administrative processes.
- Monitor and maintain company sales performance standards and sales goals, posting results for management review each month.
- Continuously improve sales skills, knowledge, and strategies to increase traffic and closing ratio.
- Negotiate agreed prices on every job to ensure the company's ability to earn a profit.
- Verify signatures, work authorisations, and pre-inspection checklists before initiating repairs.
- Document special information on the Job File in the computer for staff members' reference during the repair process.
- Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure parts are ordered via email, maximising profitability in the parts department.
- Review final accounts and supplements for accuracy, checking the final repairs prior to delivery to the customer.
- Develop an ongoing campaign to capture fleet accounts, insurance company referrals, and boost customer awareness.
- Implement a systematic approach to outside sales calls and put plans into action whenever workload allows.
- Attend daily meetings, reviewing current sales and production status, and planning daily, weekly, and monthly strategies to boost performance.
