**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Project Senior Analyst to join our team. As a seasoned professional, you will provide data-driven guidance to direct project implementation, monitor progress, and alert the team regarding potential missed targets.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. They will evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures creation of project plan and charter benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.
  • Ensures resources are assigned to project & monitor commitment.
  • Uses best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the sponsor/stakeholder's needs and deliver within desired outcomes.
  • Identifies key stakeholders who participate in project scope definition.
  • Establishes project communication needs and creates project communication plan.
  • Creates all required artifacts for the successful delivery of the project.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits clear and concise activity/progress reports.
  • Assesses project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur.
  • Articulates problems, brings the right people together to solve problems and knows when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.
  • Communicates to all stakeholders project milestones, status updates, risks as well as any existing or potential escalation issues.
  • Liaises with key stakeholders to implement new procedures or clarify any misinterpretation as required.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and develop solutions collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Provides feedback to Project Management leadership regarding risk issues/business cases raised by specific business units.
  • Collates communication items, investigates issues and ensures relevant communications are created in a timely clear and accurate manner.
  • Drafts and communicates any staff briefs, including system changes.
  • Conducts ongoing research on effective mediums and tools to improve the communications.
  • Supports Senior Project Managers in project development, execution, and completion.

Requirements:

  • Previous project management experience – preferably from a mortgage or financial services environment.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
  • Strong customer service ability; communication and problem-solving.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarifies, identifies, and tracks requirements and issues, removes barriers, resolves minor project issues and escalates to immediate manager where required.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, VISIO, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
