Job Overview

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Line Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing line, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of equipment performance and reliability, with a focus on achieving zero downtime through proactive management.
  • Avoidance mindset and work towards continuous improvement in a structured manner.
  • Evaluate equipment and process inputs/outputs to ensure optimal product performance and take action before it impacts uptime or yield.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time and offer improvements when found deficient to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • ID requirements for jigs/fixtures to improve workstation efficiency or yield improvement and carry through into manufacturing with supporting data.
  • Maintain sufficient Kanban and robust process for consumable equipment spares to minimise downtime.
  • Support new technician hires when required.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Level 6 or above in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical role in a similar field is required, demonstrated experience with automated equipment maintenance is an advantage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex machine faults and resolve these issues through electrical and pneumatic systems experience.
  • Highly motivated with good initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrated process and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
