Job Role:

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for leading the design and development of backend services to achieve business goals.

This is a prime opportunity for someone who wants to develop and enhance their skillset in a dynamic work environment with real opportunities to positively influence strategic change initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot microservices, good understanding of database technologies and access mechanisms.

The role involves taking a lead role in cross-functional teams, collaborating with colleagues to support and influence technical direction, system design and solution architecture, identifying diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, providing insight and expertise in directing others and ensuring maximum productivity by constantly monitoring and improving software development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing backend services to achieve business goals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support and influence technical direction, system design and solution architecture.
  • Identifying, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Providing insight and expertise in directing others and ensuring maximum productivity by constantly monitoring and improving software development practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot microservices.
  • Good understanding of database technologies and access mechanisms.
  • Senior level enterprise technology experience, with a proven track record in delivering IT enabled change.
  • Some understanding of Eventing/Messaging interfaces like Kafka and MQ.
  • Strong understanding of Application, Information and Infrastructure technologies and practices.
  • Experience in leading and developing junior and mid-level engineers is essential.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences at senior levels.
