Emergency Department Nurse Specialist

This is a 9-month contract position for an Urgent Care Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to patients presenting with urgent care and minor injuries/illnesses.
About the Role- Deliver high-quality urgent care nursing services in line with industry standards.
- Patient care management and treatment will be of utmost importance.
- Nursing observations will be recorded and assessments conducted regularly.
- Effective communication with patients and stakeholders is essential.
- Accurate and confidential records must be maintained.
- Safe administration and storage of medicine must adhere to current legal guidelines.
- The candidate should be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland as RGN or Dual Qualified in General and Paediatrics Nursing.
- A minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in areas including general practice, A&E, urgent care, or trauma orthopaedics is required.
- The ideal candidate will be competent in IT systems and Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
- Flexibility to work across a rolling roster, 365 days a year, is necessary.
- A high level of professional and personal integrity is expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
