As a seasoned Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth in our hotel properties. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing market conditions, preparing budgets and forecasts, and developing goals and strategies for the department.

You will work closely with our Senior Management team to manage hotel bookings and availability, providing leadership to the team on selling techniques and monitoring results. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing the overall sales and business development strategy for the team
  • Developing the brand and sales strategy for the property
  • Developing new markets in line with the overall hotel sales strategy and analyzing and reporting on these activities
  • Providing leadership to the team on appropriate selling techniques and monitoring team results and adjusting activities to ensure objectives are being reached
  • Working in conjunction with the Senior Management team to manage hotel bookings and availability to ensure maximum revenue opportunities are achievable
  • Providing feedback on local market conditions
  • Participating in Revenue meetings where required
  • Preparing the budget for the department and forecasting
  • Developing and implementing goals and strategies for the department
  • Developing good working relationships with key accounts
  • Selling rooms, conference, food & beverage and other hotel services
  • Monitoring account production and implementing strategies to ensure achievement of quarterly and annual sales
  • Ensuring that all sales reports and data generated from the Sales & Marketing team are recorded on systems
  • Ensuring all reports required in relation to the Sales & Marketing
  • Monitoring service and teamwork on a regular basis and offering input on enhancing value
  • Developing sales training to all departments in the hotel
  • Ensuring the correct sales approach is being taken by all employees in line with hotel sales strategy
  • Overseeing the public marketing activities of the hotel
  • Developing the advertising strategy for the hotel in line with the budget
  • Managing and producing marketing material
  • Developing a social media strategy to assist marketing and sales
  • Developing on-site promotional activities
