About This Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with autism, providing specialist services and supporting their growth and development. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support, ensuring that each individual receives the necessary care and attention.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver speech and language therapy sessions to individuals with autism, tailored to meet their specific needs and goals.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support is provided to each individual.
  • To assess and identify the communication needs of each individual, developing effective strategies to promote effective communication.
  • To provide training and support to colleagues on speech and language therapies, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements
  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
  • Significant experience working with adults with autism, particularly in the area of speech and language therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, individuals, and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising tasks and managing competing demands.
