Senior Injection Moulding Specialist

As a Toolmaker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing process. With a strong background in injection moulding and toolmaking, you will be responsible for ensuring that our tools are functioning optimally, allowing us to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a busy manufacturing environment, with a focus on toolmaking and injection moulding.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of milling, turning, grinding, sparking, and fitting, as well as the ability to weld and work with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and repair injection moulds, jigs, and fixtures to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  2. Collaborate with Process Engineers to troubleshoot mould problems and implement solutions.
  3. Develop and maintain documentation in accordance with ISO9001/ISO 13485 requirements, working closely with the Quality department to ensure compliance.
  4. Provide training and guidance to other employees on new processes and systems, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  5. Perform additional duties as required by the Toolroom Manager.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working with multi-cavity moulds, hot runner moulds, and valve-gated moulds.
  • Knowledge of injection moulding processes and materials.
  • Ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and external toolmakers.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and 3D printing technologies.
