The role involves translating and transcreating from English into Japanese player support, community and in-game content for mobile games. This requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

As a linguist at our company, you will be responsible for ensuring that all translations meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with other linguists and stakeholders to deliver accurate and engaging content to our clients.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Translate/transcreate in-game, player support and community content from English to Japanese to a high-quality standard
  • Perform Quality Assurance tasks in a variety of published content (games, websites, etc.)
  • Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved
  • Suggest process improvements that will deliver on goal of optimal translation quality
  • Collaborate with linguists in other languages on cross-group Quality objectives
RequirementsSkills and Qualifications
  • Native-level Japanese speaker
  • Passion for games industry
  • Educational qualification in linguistics
  • Experience in translation, copywriting or linguistics
  • Excellent verbal and written linguistic skills both in Japanese and English
  • Good PC knowledge, including knowledge of MS Office products is essential (basic knowledge of Excel, or willingness to learn)
  • Must be self-motivated and able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with CAT tool software, (e.g. Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ) an advantage
