Equipment Design Engineer Role

The Equipment Design Engineer plays a crucial role in the development of innovative medical devices. This position involves designing, testing, and implementing equipment solutions that meet the requirements of our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of talented engineers who are passionate about creating high-quality products. As an Equipment Design Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop equipment solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with project leaders and other stakeholders to understand requirements and inputs.
  • Selecting and developing appropriate materials, vendors, technologies, and specifications to ensure robust and reproducible process design.
  • Developing and optimizing fixtures, jigs, and tooling for manufacturability and capacity.
  • Generating and maintaining required engineering and design documentation.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A third-level qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in medical device development, preferably in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of production equipment and machinery, as well as process development and validation requirements.
  • Experience with metal processing and joining techniques, emerging process technologies, and 3D printing.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
