Job Overview

Citi's Banking and International Controls team sets the highest standards for risk and control coverage within Banking.

  • We participate from inception to implementation in cross-functional or cross-business issues to ensure business compliance with laws, regulations, and policy requirements across key/complex risk levels.
  • We support any area of the business (organizationally, regionally, or product-wise) from an issue/project perspective; regular engagement with Senior Business Level Officers, Legal, Risk, and Compliance regarding complex matters.
  • We initiate and develop relationships with others throughout the business unit and the company to identify and understand business needs.
Key Responsibilities

We promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and respect. We implement and develop controls to prevent risk within B&I and drive corrective actions. We analyze and identify risks and perform analytical reporting. We operate with a limited level of direct supervision. We exercise independence of judgment and autonomy. We act as SMEs to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.

  • Requirements include experience in risk, control, or audit.
  • Able to analyze a process and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency is necessary.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, along with the capability to handle multiple projects at one time, are essential.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability are required.
  • High attention to detail and quality is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on MS Excel, is required.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are consistently demonstrated.
  • Strong people and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence others and foster collaboration, are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively on virtual teams, including across different geographies and time zones, is preferred.
