Job Title: Risk Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our risk framework.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Risk Management: Assist the Business Risk Manager in delivering operational risk management tasks as allocated, ensuring control design and effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvements.
  2. Risk Recording and Reporting: Maintain the operational risk management system, recording risk, controls, issues, and operational risk events, providing inputs to quality risk reports for senior management and the Board Risk Committee.
  3. Business Process Testing: Test key business processes to ensure control design and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements, and supporting the development, monitoring, and reporting of risk metrics.
  4. Risk Assessment and Policy Development: Work closely with business areas to identify and assess risks for the Risk and Control Self-Assessment programme, manage risk policies, and develop strategies, processes, and reporting procedures to mitigate risks.
  5. Communication and Collaboration: Provide clear and concise information to stakeholders, support Senior Management Operational Risk Steering Committees, and contribute to quality risk reports.

The successful candidate will have exposure to senior management and play a key role in championing risk management and delivering appropriate challenges, guidance, and support to the business.

Requirements
  1. Experience: Experience in working in a risk or oversight function in a financial services company or relevant experience in an operational role within an investment firm.
  2. Understanding: Understanding of an operational risk management framework and investment business, including proficiency in M365 applications.
  3. Skills: Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication capabilities, and ability to prepare clear reports.
  4. Education: A relevant third-level qualification or professional qualification would be an advantage.
